A low-carbon alternative to gas boilers
Ground source heat pumps collect thermal energy from the ground to produce heating and hot water — through horizontal loops buried around 1.2m deep, or vertical boreholes 80–150m deep. Sizing them correctly starts with a room-by-room heat loss survey, which we carry out.
Ground source systems cost more than air source but deliver superior long-term efficiency. Winter ground temperatures (6–12°C) outperform cold air, and the systems last around 20 years. Indoors they are discreet and about as quiet as a dishwasher.
For every kilowatt of electricity consumed they can produce up to four kilowatts of heat, and they can provide active or passive cooling in summer — an ideal match for underfloor heating.

The government pays £7,500 towards an air or ground source heat pump; this increases to £9,000 if you have an existing oil-fired or LPG system installed. We handle the application and deduct it from your quote.
Every install is certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme — the requirement for grant eligibility.
Insurance-backed guarantees underwrite our workmanship, so cover survives whatever happens to us.
